MIRROR LAKE SUNSET & NIGHT WALK

Walk through an enchanted 'goblin' forest where gnarled and twisted trees drip with mosses and ferns, to a plateau offering spectacular views of the mighty Mount Taranaki and out to the ocean.

Golden tussocks and fragile alpine plants surround the little lake famous for it’s reflection of the mountain.  Here we will rest and wait for sunset and the perfect photo opportunity.

If the cloud rolls in and there's no view, our guide knows the best  spots for exploring and getting the most out of the evening's walk.

Experience the ethereal world of the goblin forest at night as you descend to the shuttle past glow worms and iridescent fungi. If you're lucky, we may hear the unique sound of the Kiwi who live in the surrounding forest.
