A two day (one night) residential instruction course

to give you a taste of the Taranaki rock and Trad (traditional) technique

 
Placing a variety of traditional protection

Basic self rescue

Leading with traditional protection

Basic mountain awareness and safety for alpine rock climbing

Qualified, current and experienced instructors
NZOIA Alpine 2 and Rock 2
 

Staying at either Manganui Ski Lodge or Tahurangi Alpine Lodge, this is a self-catered scenario.

Clients must be in New Plymouth for Friday night to do a gear check and briefing. 
We can offer an airport collection option if required.

Some basic rock climbing experience is a pre-requisite, however no traditional rock climbing experience is necessary.
